as a woman, there is absolutely nothing with obeying your man listening to him and respecting him. It’s how men feel valued and loved. a man that appreciates you and loves you will set the tone for your relationship where you naturally want to do that

What in the heteronormative gender roles is this?? As a man I do not “set the tone.” Relationships should be 50/50. We work together to create a relationship that we both feel comfortable in. We can both listen to each other, we can both be soft, and we can both be supportive. I don’t feel valued when someone obeys me. That’s actually ridiculous bro. I feel valued when someone understands and respects me by treating me like an equal. I’m not your owner or your master

if he doesn’t. He clearly doesn’t deserve that and he is just asking for respect he’s not showing you he deserves it. Men set the standard in relationships, if they’re being treated like shit or complaining so much most of the times it’s how they set up the relationship. Remember, it’s the man that sits the tone because women are supposed to be soft. If you don’t give her that space, you’ll never be treated like a man worth respecting.

Honestly I meet more women who want this than men. Most men I know just want a healthy, balanced relationship where everyone is happy. But I’d say the vast majority of everyone I talk to wants an equal relationship where nobody is ordering anyone else around. Idk what misogynistic freaks you’ve been talking to but that’s not normal behavior

That’s what I wanted too like more equality but I think when I like the man providing and paying and I know not everyone agrees with that but I do, but my thing is if he does that then I do my fair share so it is still equal but most men I’ve dated have told me I can’t disrespect them or that I can’t make jokes towards them but they can to me or whatever like I am happy but I haven’t had a relationship like the one ur talking abt since highschool :/ I kinda thought this is just how it is
