I feel like because of how he handled this one person and didn’t immediately set boundaries and initially argued with me about why she wasn’t “like that” I’m worried I’m never going to be able to fully trust him or love him as freely as I once did

Like all I have is his word that they didn’t hookup but the paranoia of it is eating me alive

It’s hard to decide if you want to believe him and try to build the relationship back. Evaluate his character and the entire relationship. If you choose to stay let him know clearly that if at any point you find out he wasn’t telling the truth you will walk away and not look back
