orr you can not look, a girl should be able to go out in whatever and feel comfortable and not have guys look, you’re at least 17-18, you’re not a child. you can be a grown man and be respectful, yall mamas never taught yall respect.

Well first I’m 29 haha b. My mom did teach me right. She bought me to be respectful so obviously that means not staring at them of course. So it’s another instance of ok we look and then get yelled at for looking, not like we are biologically wired, or we don’t look and then get yelled at for not looking. Either way men lose

It’s one thing if you take a few looks, but constantly staring at them is the problem. Or purposefully looking towards them so you can see is a perv move

I’ve seen more men get yelled at for looking for like 2 seconds haha. Also it’s ok for men to be objectified by women though so why not the other way around?

I never said it was okay for men to be objectified. And yeah if I don’t feel safe when a guys is staring at me, or he keeps looking at me, I’m gonna yell too, cause sure they’re there but I’m not for hire so stop staring.

Also don’t even try to do “women do it so we can do it back” cause it works both ways. Guys can objectify us and stare? Then we can too. Men can get away with grabbing a girls butt? We can too. It’s a weak ass argument that can be turned the other way.

Not really because it’s what we like to call a double standard. Because a woman can sexually harass a man and no one says anything but flip the genders and everyone is up in arms. Fine I’ll use a different one. Women can objectify themselves if it’s to their benefit for example money. However, when men give into the objectification of the woman we are terrible. I can name more

Look at Sabrina Carpenter! I love her music and her but she knows what she is doing. Sex sells to both men and women. So that’s ok when she does it but you want equality right? So make it go both ways

Okay objectifying ourselves is not saying men can. Sure if you’re a stripper or purposefully doing it to build your career (Sabrina carpenter) you are showing you’re allowing it. But dressing cute for a night out does not mean I want men staring at me and feeling uncomfortable. I do think that a lot of celebrities including Sabrina and Sydnee Sweeney, do it way too much and make it seem like it’s a perfectly okay thing.

Also it’s just society that has allowed everything to become so sexualized

See but when women dress up when going out for a drink or even just day to day they are inviting attention. I know “I don’t dress for men! I dress for me!” Blah blah blah yeah we get it. You still shouldn’t be mad or shocked if you get some attention. There’s a reason make up, push up bras, and revealing clothes exist

It’s society that has allowed sexuality sure but women are typically the sex that benefits the most

getting stared at is not the same as "getting some attention". you can look at a girl and think to yourself "woah she's hot" but if you stare a woman down in public you're a creep

I agree mostly! If you have your tits and ass literally exposed, you are doing it for attention. But if you just see a woman with big breast in a cute top - don’t be weird. But there are certain outfits we can all agree on is for a certain type of attention

I get specialized wearing any outfit because I have naturally big boobs. I would be wearing a baggy t shirt and still get sexualized. And not cause I’m “asking for it” I cant remove them when I want. Every man that meets me assumes that just because I have big boobs they have a right to see or touch them, even if they are covered. I want a breast reduction because of how unsafe men make me feel when they are constantly sexualizing me.

Yes doing it for attention obviously gets attention, but when it gets to a point that she doesn’t feel safe or regrets the outfit it’s not okay. And yes do not stare at us because we have big boobs, reductions are so expensive so we have to live with them.

I’m a guy and I understand. I don’t know how it feels but I know There is a lot of fucking men out there that just suck and discard women’s privacy and just humanity to say the least. It kinda ruins it for men like me that just like to admire a woman’s beauty but yea staring at women is fucking WEIRD. But I’m not gonna lie, I take a glance - admire - and move on. It sucks you have to go through that and on behalf of the good guys - I’m sorry.

Thank you, it helps to know there’s some good men out there. Like I understand looking a couple times throughout a night, obviously people are gonna look. It’s the guys who constantly stare or act nonchalant about looking every minute that make it uncomfortable

I’m really sorry you have to go through that. Not that this matters but I listen to a lot of true crime and some of the way certain men think is scary. And being a woman I literally couldn’t imagine the fear you must feel in a lot of scenarios. I have girl best friends and I’m so protective of them cause you honestly don’t know what a man is thinking or if he’s being nice or what. Kinda like how people assume we hook up just cause we have a close relationship? It’s always men lmfao

Oh yeah definitely agree! That’s essentially all I do is go woah hot then move on with life haha only time I don’t is when I mess with my friend who has big boobs but she thinks it’s funny haha
