i more and more i’ve lived as a Christian the more and more it’s the religion of fear and control. idk if i want to be christian anymore. i don’t think so

I mean there should be fear of God because he can be merciful but also righteous

fear as in “if you don’t worship me and give your life to me i’ll make sure you suffer forever”. doesn’t seem very merciful. in addition to the billions of people who never heard of him just based off geographical location or time they were alive

and given the fact it’s been used to commit atrocities all through history, it seems like it gives a small piece of moral guidance, but justifies massacres and evil.

i just don’t know if i can support a “god” that willingly tells his people to kill kids :/ plus some logical reasoning too idk if he CAN exists logically
