My bf is 10 years older than me. My mom’s husband is 10 years younger than her. This has resulted in my bf and my mom’s husband being the same age. Nothing wrong with this, but it FEELS wrong.

I don’t have the older partner problem you do but my stepdad’s younger than my mom to the point of being too young to be my dad, and people definitely give us some weird looks when we’re out and about together and she ain’t there lmao

I’d have that same issue if I acknowledged him as a stepdad or as a person in general. I don’t interact with the man unless absolutely necessary. I do like sending him gag gifts though. 😂

I mean my mom and my stepdad met when I was 9 and married when I was 15, and my biological father sucks so I do just call him my dad unless the specifics of how that could be when he was 16 and my mom was 23 when I was born get asked. Dude’s cool as hell, when he wanted to propose to my mom he asked me for my blessing and I was like “fucking FINALLY dude” lol

That’s so sweet! My mom eloped when I was like 23. She called me one weekend and was like “I got married an hour ago!” I was like… “to who?” 😅
