You guys are hating but if you did the tiniest bit of research instead of just It Feeling Wrong To You then you’d see #1 is correct! Trans women aren’t claiming to bleed or ovulate or anything like that, but a natural part of having progesterone and estrogen is that they make you cycle through increased emotion and body pains (even if no organ there! Like phantom limb!)

honestly even the claim that it's "period-like symptoms" pisses me off like that is nowhere close to the suffering cis women experience monthly and is probably a placebo. they don't know what a period is like they've never had one. and they inject the same amount of the same hormones daily??

Well to be clear most of us aren’t claiming periods only that one of the things that HRT does to you is occasionally give you period like symptoms because while we don’t have uterine lining it’s important to remember that periods are caused by fluctuations in hormones which is sorta the whole thing of being trans.

Transphobia means you’re afraid of trans people. Nothing scary about bob trying to grow boobs. Might be hot tho 😂

Hey so did they say that at all? #1 specifically said NOT BLEEDING and NOT CLAIMING PERIODS, they said period LIKE symptoms which means SIMILAR BUT NOT THE SAME

It feels like you are. You have no actual reason to be upset about this. I’m a cis woman with many friends who are trans women and they don’t take hormones so they can be in pain, they take hormones so they can have reduced body hair, different distribution of body fat leading to more feminine body shape, and boob growth. Nobody is taking anything from you by just talking about the effects of their hormones on their bodies! It’s not about you!

“But ur injecting hormones consistently” yeah duh? Did they say it happens to them naturally? Let trans people live istg!!! All they want to do is try and make their body fit who they are on the inside. It’s not about upstaging cis women or any bullshit like that! Trans people don’t transition to make cis people feel bad! IT IT NOT ABOUT US AS CIS PEOPLE

okay so i feel like my feelings are valid just like anyone else’s, dont b a bit h. trans women don’t upset me but the ones that claim to have periods do which is weird to me. and yea you’re correct no one is taking anything from me but if a TRANS woman is claiming a cis woman’s experience. i simply disagree because we both have very different and unique experiences, like different font same color we’re both women but our experiences are entirely different because for a portion of thier lives—

I agree with you and I’m not trying to be a bitch it’s just frustrating to me. You say trans women aren’t trying claiming a cis woman’s experience, but every trans woman I’ve ever met who is on hormones goes out of their way to say “I know it’s not the same BUT…” because they’re so concerned about NOT claiming cis women’s experiences. If you take any kind of medication you know they have effects on you. Trans people are undergoing treatment for their gender dysphoria and the side effects are pt1

so that’s… still not having a period. trans women can say they’re feeling more emotional or whatever but they can do that without dragging something they DONT experience into it

They’re not doing that, just sharing how it looks kinda similar but every trans woman I’ve ever met goes out of their way to say I KNOW ITS NOT THE SAME AT ALL BUT HERES WHAT I EXPERIENCE if that makes sense. They’re not trying to steal your experience they just want to be able to relate and share in womanhood however that might look to them!

You can have this opinion without being transphobic. Saying that you don’t appreciate them conflating hormone changes with your physical symptoms is okay. Saying them using HRT upsetting you is transphobic.
