It’s called progress. No, voting will not change everything, but you don’t vote for the utopia you want, you vote for the party that makes it the easiest to fight for that utopia.
It’s so depressing to watch our country celebrate different states turning blue like it’s actually going to make a positive impact. Yeah our president is a pedo piece of shit, but both sides are money hungry fucks that will never give a shit about us

Only thing we’re progressing is the pockets of people that are voted into office. Watch their net worth rise as all of the voters struggle to buy food and put gas in our cars

Okay, what exactly would you propose we do in the short-term then?

Bro holy shit voting and revolutions are not mutually exclusive yall are genuinely annoying as fuck. Obviously voting won’t get us out of this, but change comes from within. We can’t change the system unless we start to elect a few politicians demanding accountability. Yal have no interest in organizing. No interest in any sort of change you just whine that anyone who votes is playing into the system when, again, you DONT vote for utopia. You have to make it come about and step one is voting

This is exactly what I'm saying. "Get out there and vote, it matter!", yet 1/3 of the country didn't vote, largely the youngest voters, which led to Trump winning. "We need a revolution, reforms won't work we're too far gone and corrupt!" People in this country shout for radical change constantly, yet the closest we've gotten recently are the No Kings protests that were scattered, spotty, and had generally low turnout; and corporate strikes that are advertised in advance and last like, what 1/2

, a day, a week at most? Look at France, right now even, they'll riot over a 25 cent gas increase, which granted might be a bit extreme, but they're at least willing to fight for their country and freedoms. Americans love to rave online about how much radical change is needed, but when push comes to shove, almost none of them have the bravery, integrity, and frankly backbone to do anything. We fought bloody wars for freedom and liberty, and now we instead whine and complain on social media.

Americans love the aesthetic of being a patriot without caring the way a patriot does (which historically in America has always been revolting against the government)

Generalizing. Nice. It doesn’t matter who you vote into office. Republican, Democrat, Independent, etc. They don’t care about you. They care about power and the money that it brings them. Utopia doesn’t and cannot exist. You can complain all you want but at the end of the day nothing will change. You won’t be able to afford a house. Taxes will increase with no net positive. There will be no free healthcare and every part of your life will continue to become more expensive.
