1/3 of the USA population is from the south and uses “Ya’ll” that’s a 3rd of the country. Acting like you didn’t just say “oh who is u” 😭😭 saying something about how i talk. Go say “who is u” in a job interview and see if you can get sum besides a mcdonald’s contract

Girl I’m saying “yall” as in there’s no reason to group us together. As in idk who u are and u don’t know who I am so u can’t make assumptions about my beliefs. I’m not saying yall as in southern language. Brother im from the south. Also “who is u” is a popular reference :/

I don’t support either side cause at the end of the day all the higher ups are corrupt and do weird shii behind closed doors. I was just responding to this cause obama wasn’t innocent either. I should rephrase my claim. Health insurance deductibles and insurance premiums were raised due to the ACA or ObamaCare. Google works

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

no, the aca reduced insurance costs through subsidies, the creation of exchanges, and the individual mandate. google is free bud

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1d

Yes, Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act) has significantly increased health insurance premiums and deductibles, though the net cost to most consumers depends on federal subsidies. 1. That comes out of the tax pool that people are already paying into. 2. Not everyone gets the subsidies and they have the pay the higher premiums and deductibles. 3. Any time the government gets involved with subsidies and or “free money” the cost goes up. Examples are health insurance, housing, college.

default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

your comment is not very incoherent. you haven’t provided any evidence for the aca increasing costs or the mechanism by which it would increase costs. and government subsidies reduce costs, not increase costs. that is why the expiration of aca subsidies this year under trump has caused prices to significantly increase.

Anonymous replying to -> #7 1d

From the House of Representatives The average price paid for health insurance (“premiums”) jumped by 143 percent between 2013 and 2019. At the same time that premiums more than doubled in the individual market, deductibles for ACA-compliant coverage also increased by an average of 35% — over $1,700 for individuals and $3,600 for families. Over 10 years, spending on health care per person increased by 28.7 percent.

“In 2026, the average monthly premium payment among consumers net of tax credits (including those who did not receive premium tax credits) rose 58% from $113 to $178 in 2025.” all due to trump

your literal first comment

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1d

Covid is no longer going on. Why would he keep them. And this is copied and pasted from google- Government subsidies frequently lead to higher prices, though their exact impact on the market depends on how the subsidy is applied and the supply-and-demand dynamics of the specific industry.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1d

you say i’m illiterate. and you can’t interpret a basic sentence. it means if obama was still president the prices would be even higher due to more socialistic policies

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

because the subsidies were leading to lower prices… without the subsidies, prices have sharply increased. prices are higher under trump. this is a fact. you’re wrong.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

relying on google to think for you is not a good look. subsidies inarguably reduce prices in this market.

the aca is still in effect!!!!! that is raising the prices dude. the government should get out of health care. it’s simple

upvote 1 downvote

the prices are literally higher because of trumps actions. prices would be lower under obama.

upvote 1 downvote

the aca right now is exactly what it was under obama. the extra covid subsides are the only change

upvote 0 downvote

if what we have right now under trump is the same as what we’d have under obama but without the subsidies, then why would prices be higher under obama? lol

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1d

increase over time

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1d

and government subsidies affect supply and demand. here’s an example- college costs so much because people are able to borrow money from the government to pay for it. colleges would not be able to charge the amount they do because no one can afford it, but since uncle sam will subsidize people going to school the college can charge whatever they want and know they will get paid

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1d

no i said it is the same as what was implemented. you don’t think obama wouldn’t expand it over the past decade

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 23h

explain this - why did premiums rise 58% this year after trump let the subsidies expire if subsidies increase prices?

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 23h

so now your argument has shifted to obama hypothetically implementing some policy that would increase prices when prices are increasing right now under trump? lol

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 23h

i’m commenting under a post to bring obama back. the whole premise of why we are here is a hypothetical

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 23h

only the affordable care act premiums raised 58% that’s how much they would have raised if there were no subsidies in the first place over the time of the subsidies. the purpose of the subsidies were to offset costs of covid not subsidize the healthcare market forever

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 22h

because you haven’t been able to articulate this whole thread why prices would be higher under obama
