I wanna be far away from my family for more independence though

Go closer to home. That was my mistake when I chose college. If I stayed close to home my girlfriend and I would probably be married instead we had a nasty breakup that almost resulted in a law suit. I lost relations with family because I lived on other side of country.

I would still get independence, it’s like 40 minutes away so I could come back if I needed but I would be there on my own. Idk I’m just rlly scared of being alone like 3 hours away
