Just got told I need to make a minimum of 75k a year to qualify for AFFORDABLE HOUSING…if I made 75k a year, I wouldn’t need to apply for assistance now would I????

Yeah you would, but in true reality they don’t want people making under 50k owning by homes.

I’m not trying to own a home…I’m trying to rent an apartment near my new job, but the job only offered me 64k a year and apparently that’s not enough to get into section 8 housing

Oh yeah that too much but also apply for snap benefits and then reapply they lower the minimum if you are already on a govt assistance program

But I can’t get a normal apartment because they say I need to make 3x the base rent a month, so rent is 2,000 for a small studio apartment but I don’t make 6,000 a month so they deny my application and told me to apply for assistance but the assistance programs told me I make too much?? Snap benefits don’t help me if I’m still homeless at the end of the night

That’s not what I’m saying if you apply and get snap benefits reapply for the section because you already receive one govt program you will have a higher chance of getting the section 8.
