I bet he’d love that y’all did this as a family, he knows you’d need a companion to help heal. Knowing he was a senior shows just how much care and love he had and how much you are able to provide another furry friend in need. Take that love and spread it so that many many years from now he can hear all the stories of you growing up. (I hope that’s more of a comforting thought than sad, it’s clear how much you loved him)
