Being overweight doesn’t always mean you eat a lot, or only eat unhealthy. I’ve had an eating disorder for months, I hate greasy food, and I’ve always been chunky, meanwhile my sister eats the sugariest, greasiest shit known to man and she’s a stick. 😐

Its not just what you eat, its about the energy you expend. If calories in equals calories out, then you won’t gain or lose weight. If she eats a lot but burns all the calories with exercise or a high metabolism then she doesn’t gain weight. Same for you, if you eat healthy food but only burn a number of calories equal to what you eat, then you won’t lose weight.

I know, the post said “Eating bad≠being big” but we both move around a lot. Idk what she does tbh but I have a job that’s very high in activity and I sit down for maybe 15-30 minutes a day 😭

If calories out > calories in, the laws of physics dictate that you will lose weight. If you’re not losing weight, you’re not at a deficit

It's more complicated than that

No it’s not. Not everyone needs or wants be overwhelmed by macros. At its most basic level, your body must spend more energy than you put into it

Yes, some people have a higher metabolism than others (exercise also increases your metabolic rate btw). That means that some people can eat more than others and still be at a caloric deficit. But that doesn’t change the fact that if you are not at a deficit, you won’t lose weight, and if you are at a deficit, you will lose weight. Even with a slow metabolism. Eat less.
