I’d rather not “be allowed” to be fun and whimsical than constantly feel objectified, get harassed, and feel like I can’t exist in my natural body without extreme judgement from both men and women

i mean yeah society sucks but i love all my girl friends and in my experience other girls are way more supportive and protective than not. a lot of it depends on the specific social environment you’re in i think

i was never conventionally attractive and my mental health has always been horrible i just had other girls around me going through the same stuff. i kinda just learned to be content with myself and i don’t really operate based on social expectations i just kinda do what i want

which isn’t necessarily an easy mindset to develop but trying to do social expectations is just too exhausting so i stopped caring just from exhaustion i guess and it’s freeing and awesome! social expectations are arbitrary anyway
