Gay people are still people. They can be mean and totally toxic. Homophobia may be defined for just hating because of sexuality but it can also be used as a way to frame others just because they dont like a person who happens to be gay.

What do you mean respect? You are going to have to define that because some people do not understand that gay people are just people. Now if you mean forcing others to accept everything they do as right in their eyes then one might not agree.

i've literally had trans people tell me that i was transphobic because i didn't want to have sex with them. pretty sure they do also want me to be gay.
