Yeah it’s not like it’s super duper common for men to rape and murder women

You’re using some very dangerous logic here

So you disagree then? It happens very frequently so it makes sense for women to not trust men right away?

I think treating every member of a demographic as if they are a potential threat is very dangerous logic. It reminds me of what certain people say to justify how they feel about black people or immigranrs

Well when there’s actual statistics to back up the fact that men sexually assault and physically abuse women at an alarming rate, and many of the women posting stuff like this have experienced those things before, I think it makes sense

The republicans believe they have statistics on their side too

Look up sexual assault statistics and get back to me If you don’t see a problem then you’re part of the problem

Again, you’re saying the exact same thing those people say. But whatever.

I’m not disputing statistics with you. I’m just saying that generalizing one group based on crime statistics is a very dangerous logical leap

The police and the US government have a well known history of things like purposely starting drug addictions, planting drugs, and instigating other forms of crime with POC especially black and brown people, which causes an increase in documented crimes for those races. However NOBODY is forcing men to rape women, that’s THEIR CHOICE. And many rapes never even get reported so the stats are actually much worse!

If you’re not a rapist or a murderer then you have nothing to worry about. If you’re actually patient with women and can acknowledge why they’re nervous meeting new men, I don’t see what the problem would be. I know so many men who can understand this just fine and have no problems getting to know women respectfully

Generalizing one group? You’re the ONLY group I could go on a run and get raped…should I avoid taking necessary measures because I don’t want to generalize men?
