The older I get the more I believe some places should not be asking for tips. Starbucks is one. I tip for services where they will refill my water or get me something I need for my drink or food or something like that. Then I’ll tip the usual 18-25%

“They live off tips” I used to think damn we gotta help them out but as time went by I’m here like why tf do I have to pay their salary it’s the company’s job. Maybe tell Mr ceo to not give himself a bonus this year and give it to its workers

baristas are doing alot more than filling your water up tf 😭 they’re making coffees and dealing with terrible customers, i’ve seen videos of customers throwing drinks on workers for simple mistakes. No one is forcing you to tip a starbucks worker tho as they get paid a “normal” wage. You should 100% be tipping restaurant servers that’s not debatable unless the server threw food in your face and called you slurs LMFAO but no one cares if you don’t tip starbucks workers

Noooo? They are making my drink? The drink I paid for and their labor of making my drink. Them making my drink is included in the price of the drink. I would tip a Starbucks person if I was doing work there and they came up to me asking me if I wanted some water or a refill(of course I’ll be paying for that refill) or offered me service like that. Then sure I’ll tip them. I’m sorry that there are rude customers nobody wants that but just bc there are those ppl it’s my job to tip them?

But that’s what I’m saying for those kinds of services I do tip. But I just find it a little off how places that don’t offer those kinds of services ask for tips(on the ipad or screen). I just used Starbucks as an example but yeah other places like that. If they are providing service like that sure I’m tipping if it then nope. Don’t be mad at me for not adding a tip be mad at your company. Is all I’m sayingggg
