i think it's selfish but it also doesn't matter that it's selfish. it's like calling gay people selfish for not being able to ignore an instinct they are born with. most humans instinctually want to reproduce like most other creatures.

Honestly with the way that the planet is going rn, coral reefs dying out in the next couple of decades which will MAJORLY affect our ecosystems and the fact that the melting glaciers (which we can’t get back btw) are gonna release things into the air i think there’s a bigger argument to be made about how intentionally bringing children into the world rn without dealing with climate problems is bordering selfish because they’re gonna be the ones to deal with that crisis in its full swing & suffer

Most people can’t even afford to adopt, giving birth to a child is somewhat affordable while adopting is a HUGE process and costs a shit ton of money just to get the kid. It doesn’t cost anything to have sex lmao
