Yeah but that’s just cute and you do it because you want to. They did it to me because they thought they had to. I get the respect thing. I called a woman like five years older than me “ma’am” a couple weeks ago (she was NOT happy 😬) but I didn’t do so because I felt societally duty-bound to 😭
