My heart is filled by all kinds of friends, family, a loving partner, my cats, my hobbies, being kind to strangers, and so on. I was raised catholic but I just couldn’t get myself to fully believe in it, and it sort of made me hateful through homophobic beliefs. I couldn’t separate the two so I went the atheist route and developed my own morals
I would rather live doing good because of my own choices as my personal duty. IMO you’re not a good person if you live by Christianity and do not sin just because God told you/the potential consequences instead of being a good person for the sake of being one. Be a good person, not because someone asked/told you to, but because you want to be.
for sure. these are all tenets of good living in any respect. God is not a religion though. believing in God is understanding the act of faith and appreciating it for what it is. faith and belief can be separate from religion, as religion represents the community aspects of belief.
