i don’t think it’s always broke behavior. i think it’s a product of being impoverished for so long that you finally can have something to be proud of. yeah, you should certainly not do that, but people who recently come into fortune tend to want to display it to show people they ‘made it’ or something.

I’m talking literal dollar bills on your Instagram and stacks of money not just luxury items. To me, that just isn’t a good look. It’s one thing to appreciate having money but it’s another thing to emphasize it and show it off to others

May not be a literal brokest thing to do but it’s a broke mindset to have. A lot of impoverished ppl choose to validate themselves in other ways when they “make it”.
