Oh no we are well past that. It’s a fascist dictatorship that started as an oligarchy. Like this country is fucked

jimmy kimmel is legally allowed to say anything he wants. but actions still have consequences. you dont go around screaming slurs regardless of your legal entitlement to do so. why? because the consequences are severe

What’s even more wild is Charlie Kirk lost his life for THE EXACT SAME FUCKING REASON. Stop justifying the weak.

If you believe that Kirk deserves to die, then you also don’t believe in free speech. He lost his job not due to free speech, but due to the fact that mocking the death of someone, especially in this style of EXECUTION, is VEHEMENTLY unprofessional. That should be obvious. You don’t keep your job with a large network after insulting half the population. Duh.

Yeah we are…every big step forward with this administration takes us years back in societal development. I feel bad for the next president if we even make it that far 🙃

I mean who knows he’s already talked about running a third time even though that’s literally not possible. But we weren’t supposed to have a felon for a president either

Yeah…just have to sit back and watch the show at this point unfortunately. I’m glad there’s at least good players still out there

Then it’s your job as an American to protect the constitution from enemies foreign and domestic that’s why we have the 2nd amendment.

They legally cannot take that right away from you if they try to, then they no longer represent the people and are now a tyrannical government

Shutting down a talk show because the host is calling you out on your bullshit is literally fascist shit. He’s already denied certain news from being in the White House and cancelled another talk show for the same reason. There’s no defending what he’s doing

Oh I forgot Trump owned the network, when did he buy it?

yeah so my point still stands. actions have consequences. he chose to publicly condemn things he does not agree with (totally his right) but that doesnt mean he wont face repercussions from his actions.

people who called out george floyd for being a criminal also lost their jobs. you didnt bat an eye. you cant pick and choose what you consider a violation of the first amendment only when it fits your agenda.

Yeah actions have consequences but to cancel an entire talk show because the host is making fun of your dumb decisions? That’s crazy! That’s fascism 101

As I’ve stated in another chat “There's a big difference between mocking people who actually state facts and mocking people who are pathological liars, misinformers, and/or gaslighters”. Also cherry picking facts to incite violence is also a no-go. Freedom of Speech does have limits but obviously we haven’t figured out what those limits are yet

Did you actually watch the part that got him canceled? He was making fun of how Trump gave like zero fucks that a supposed “friend” of his died. Even in an interview with him he talked about it for three seconds and then changed the subject to the stupid unnecessary ballroom he’s building. Actually do some research and don’t believe everything you read and hear
