Not in a racist way at all, but how come when a white cop kills a black guy one time it creates a whole movement, but when a black guy or hispanic guy kills a cop which happens more often, no one ever hears about it?

If you wanna make a scene about something then make a scene lol it's not Black peoples fault that you don't care enough about your issues to make it national news

well, because cops (regardless of skin color but, yeah, typically white) killing black people isn't a rare occurrence, but something that happens frequently, and has a long history behind it. and people aren't upset by just the killing, but also the fact that the killer ends up getting away with it. we don't hear about the reverse happening because it Doesn't happen As often and even if/when it does, the killer tends to actually be punished for what they did.

We do. Police deaths are always publicly known…. Black and Hispanic people aren’t in a position of power, but cops are… cops also sign up for the possibility of being killed when they take the job… Black and Hispanic people get killed because of their color, it wasn’t a choice to be in that position…

No hate. But White ppl and Asian get killed for their skin color too in hate crimes. They didn’t sign up for that either, like what about the black guy on the bus or train that stabbed the shit out of that girl because she’s white. Or what about Laken Riley there was no National movement for them , and George Floyd was a criminal too

What does George Floyd having to be a criminal have to do with dying? He didn’t do anything that should’ve of resulted in death…. The amount of murders of dark skin people compared to white people isn’t even comparable. And Asians are not included in white people, they are POC as well.

Well black ppl kill more black ppl than cops kill. No one talks about that. And uhh maybe that’s because they are trained to defend themself if they are shot at? Or attacked? Google also says black ppl kill more white ppl, than white ppl kill black ppl. So please excuse if my original statement was slightly incorrect by a technicality

Because black ppl kill eachother for sport. And the people I mentioned were students and contributing ppl to society and they are getting downvoted when I bring them up. Racism at its finest. Cry for the criminal who overdosed during his arrest, but not for the innocent white girls who were simply minding their business.

people talk about black on black crime all the time, actually. they use it as a deflection, just as you're doing here. the thing people don't actually talk about is white on white crime. or asian on asian crime. or whatever other group you'd like to look at. the thing is, people tend to do crimes against their own respective racial group Regardless of race just because of proximity. but black on black crime is the only one that gets highlighted. i wonder why...

I completely understand where you’re coming from. Is a shame a lot of those pieces of shit just get to walk and have no legal trouble after, some on the other side tho are complete criminals with multiple aggravated assaults that get let back out into society and would not have killed if the justice system actually did their job. And it’s saddening that when an innocent girl gets killed there’s no nation uproar , the same way there was for a grown man who happened to have some bigger issues.

before i continue, just to clarify, did you respond to the wrong message? because what you typed here seems like a complete nonsequitor.

Not sure why you think that, yes that was in response to your message, you were talking about crime, and I also responded talking about crime not sure where’s the disconnect

well, because you started talking about people walking free from crime, the overall justice system, and the public reception of george floyd's murder vs. iryna zarutska's murder (i find it interesting that you don't seem to know/remember her name despite supposedly caring so much for what happened to her), when this particular string of responses was addressing your claim about black on black crime. but okay sure, i'll play ball either way (1/?)

i mean honestly i don't even understand what you're trying to say in the first part so i'll just address your point on george floyd vs. iryna zarutska. IZ's murder did get some uproar. i don't know if it could be said to have been on the national level, i don't remember well—but sure, i'll cede that i don't believe there were nationwide marches and protests on the scale of what GF's murder incited.

but there are several reasons why IZ's murder didn't get much uproar if you ask me. for one, it was not the type of murder facilitated by a system like policing, which has a long history behind it. this was essentially a random guy who unfortunately killed a random girl. it was really unfortunate and gruesome and it would be nice if it could've been prevented but, there was no broader rhyme or reason to it as far as i know (3/?)

what IZ's murderer did was also immediately viewed by everyone to be a crime, there was no debate about it. her murderer was immediately arrested, charged for murder, and then, it seems recently, involuntarily committed to a mental facility. i remember even back when the case was first being covered, there was something said about him not being mentally stable (4/?)

Well her death was caused by a broken justice system letting out a career criminal who should have been locked up. And that proves my point exactly, if u asked most ppl what her name was they wouldn’t know. It wasn’t broadcasted to us on the news a million times. Is it unfortunate what happened to both of them, yes. But I think there is a BIGGER issue going on regarding broken justice system, and aggression from minorities to other minorities and white ppl, than a 1 off police brutality

i'll have to do more reading on the specifics of the case but, really, what here is there to protest against except our country's shitty way of handling mental health? maybe better safety precautions? it's not the same as with GF, where we were seeing a distinct repeat of something historical, where people were rushing to say GF's killers were innocent, that GF deserved to die, etc. it's just not the same thing. (5/5).

okay sure lets say it's true about the justice system being broken. you know who'd agree with you on that? who would want the type of reform that actually addressed people like these properly? the black people who are disproportionately victimized by said justice system. lol and sure i might be proving your point but i also fundamentally disagree with the framing or i guess the idea that an injustice was done to her because people didn't rally together to go do mass demonstrations about it.

it's also like. police brutality is not a one off thing. and it's not even something that happens just to black people. it's disproportionately against black people but police brutalize people of color and white people just broadly. one of the actual issues here is that police are allowed to abuse their power with hardly any consequence. this, too, is a symptom of the broken justice system you're referring to.
