my personal recommendation is checking out Bill Vicars on youtube, he has free lesson videos for ASL basics and up. Otherwise i found it easiest to learn through watching and learning songs online that people would sign. There’s also apps for subscriptions

Hey! I’m an interpreter! As you’ll see quite often: Lifeprint, whether the website or YouTube channel! Bill Vicars and his wife are incredible people and a WEALTH of knowledge! It’s kind of the “bible” of beginning ASL and is still great even for us working terps! There’s also a Discord with a lot of practice chats and more resources, too! Word of advice, though— don’t turn to most of the hearing people online as a source of learning. Plenty of errors and bad habits to be picked up there.
