Do you genuinely think I don’t know that? What you’re missing is that the part of the country that did that shit was the vast minority. Not only was the South not important at all to the country economically, but the population was also very small. That’s why those smaller communities were able to justify doing horrible shit. Almost like how smaller communities today use “the government is evil” as an excuse to shoot each other in the street and then blame it on the system
