Mine is dead but it’s because we’re both not in love with each other anymore. We’re still best friends so the idea of leaving or hurting the other one’s feelings seems like the worst possible thing we could do. I know one of us has to end it but I keep hoping it’ll be her.

regardless of how much time and effort was put in, its better if you leave than stay. staying will just make you both miserable and start resenting one another
