The funny thing is a lot of people have nepo advantages without realizing. You’ve had to help your parents with x in the summers and now you’re doing that field? Following the same career as your parents and they have people you can talk to? Grew up helping at x family business and now you’re getting a job there or somewhere related? That’s a sprinkle of nepo loves.
True but both can be rewarding. Taking up the mantle from something your parents did to do even more with the foundation they gave you can also be a massive source of pride. And even when your parents don’t have direct money or connections you can still benefit from their experience. Like maybe you’re not in sales like your parent but watching them doing emotional appeals and pitches makes you better at reading people and charisma for job interviews. It’s not all one or the other.
