If you have withdraw symptoms to any type of drug/substance you have some sort of addiction, good or bad. As someone who takes Adderall for ADHD, this also applies to prescribed medications

That’s not true moron. Withdrawal just means your body adapted to it. Some people just follow their doctors orders and take things everyday. Most people take adderall for example every day because it’s common practice and because the doctors say to. There is a criteria for addiction and this is merely one of many that must be meet. Is someone addicted to SNRIs because they get fatigue and brain zaps? Thought so…

Which one? Is it working for you? I’m on Vyvanse and trying to decide if it’s worth it to go to non-stimulant

Yes, but only to test for heart issues. And Yes my body and brain have an addiction to it because I get withdrawal symptoms and I rely on it to function. That isn’t a bad thing since it’s used to help me function around my ADHD.

Well neurochemical addiction is what causes withdrawl. So its not entirely untrue. However, you can become mentally "addicted" to things even if theyre not neurochemically addictive, which is the type of "addiction" youre talking about. Esentially a habit, like biting your nails or chewing gum.

It’s called dependence not addiction

to be dependent on a neurochemically addictive chemical is to be addicted
