Basic survival instinct is just not bringing strangers to your house lol even if I did live alone I would just say you're not coming to my house. I don't need to lie about little things for no reason

It's definitely more protection. Predators are literally more likely to go after people they know live alone. Poor survival instincts is needing somebody to explain to you why strangers knowing you live alone is more dangers than them thinking you don't. But ig that's how natural selection works
