I got slammed bc I told a girl on here she’d regret not spending time with her grandparents because she’s an atheist & they’re religious.. I’m an atheist & saw my grandparents every week despite them being devout catholics. I’d give anything to see them again regardless what they believe in.

they’re annoying but not as equally oppressive, religion has irreversible damage to the world and that’s a fact

Especially these young-life and rock city church ppl. They mean well but they’re the ones that especially nag you

As an agnostic I’d say some atheists are getting kinda pushy in the comments, but I can’t say for sure…

Except religious people are the main ones pushing their way into power through government and enforcing their beliefs onto atheists. Not the other way around.

i get the background context, i’m talking about both ppl who genuinely are so pushy in spaces it doesn’t necessitate them to be

When does this happen? When has atheism harmed someone?

Look maybe dont comment on somebodies life if you know nothing abt it. Maybe her grandparents were racist and homophobic. Would you tell someone to hangout w a racist homophobe?

Any time a Christian posts on here atheists flood the comments even when it’s not a Christian being pushy or forcing u to believe the same thing as they do

for example: someone who is religious will post their accomplishments story and someone will thank God in the comments, then atheists flood their comments mocking them being offended on their behalf. or when someone posts about someone passing, ppl sending blessings in the comments and some atheists start a whole religious debate when it’s not the time or the place and in the same breath berate religious ppl for doing the same

Don’t Christian’s do the same?

I mean some people are chronically online. Also I don’t really see how this is harmful, it’s the internet and people on either side debate religion

which is why i’m saying they’re *equally* annoying

debating religion is fine, in inappropriate situations it’s not esp when someone posts themselves grieving

Yeah I see that. I just don’t agree, I find the religious people much more annoying because they manage to affect the people around them irl (ex. Racist homophobic relatives)

I haven’t ever seen that. People should be more socially aware lmao

I haven’t really seen anyone saying that they are proud to be atheist. Someone can post that they are proud Christians without criticizing someone for being atheist or coming off as condescending
