might just start making shitty social media content and work part time to hopefully make something of this, and maybe commit to being who I actually want to be. I know bread is important, but I can’t slave away 40 hours of my time to just larp and hate my life everyday. Honestly this sounds like hell, I already waisted a summer. Truly this sucks, it sucks even more when my degree isn’t worth that much cause it’s niche. It’s extremely hard to get paid in my service of work, so I had to larp
rather work part time or two part time jobs and just larp until I find something worthwhile. It does suck tho, I slightly feeling the pressure from my family to get a job, but dead ass I just want to figure out what I want. I want to find an internship in my career field in something I actually want to do. Not just some bum ass job that isn’t helping me become the person I want to be
and get work experience doing something that isn’t even close to what I love to do (essentially I have a lot of social media marketing experience but I want to be a cinematographer/film maker). But getting paid is hard, and although my skill set is better than most, it doesn’t pay the bills outright. And I don’t want to be an entrepreneur and build a marketing agency/commercial company to produce dogshit, I wanna make films and maybe sum music videos. But damn man I need breed for them
My major was film and media. It moreso that it’s extremely hard to be a filmmaker professionally and get paid for it. So I gotta larp and be a social media person to get paid. Being a media person essentially means managing all of it, which is rough if your exact skill set is only a certain discipline (I’m a videographer, not a graphic designer nor a motion graphics editor, however people assume I have this skill set). Mainly a skill issue lol
