This irks me so bad too. If you wanna have 10 kids and be/marry a trad wife, no one is stopping you. Go nuts. But don’t you dare try to tell me how to live my life or define my worth by whether or not I have children. Fuck that noise.

Biological purpose, yes. Boil any biological entity down and they are made to survive and reproduce. Now society as a whole is a whole different subject. But innately it is to reproduce. Same for men.

This like birth isn’t just some random thing you do on a Saturday and feel good on Sunday. Not to mention nobody has made parent hood sound worthwhile. Millions of ppl have stated birth is painful. Like no you’re not cutting me open and sticking needles in me. Having kids is not an accomplishment for me. It maybe for others but not for me

“biological purpose”? nah, the fact that our bodies *can* generate offspring doesn’t in any way indicate that doing so is our broader existential purpose give it a little critical thought before you go making bold claims like this. our bodies are also made to produce waste when we eat—does that mean you believe that shitting must also be our “biological purpose” in life?
