i can't think of a good reason to let them dock. why can't they be treated on the ship? it's safer for everyone so they can control who gets on and off and where they go from there

like if it wasn't a cruise ship and was a smaller vessel i'd see the utility in letting them get off but it's just too many people if it's a normal cruise ship

oh boy. longterm mismanagement of covid at both the policy- and individual-level shattered any semblance of faith I had left in governmental public health orgs and the average american’s capacity to navigate a medical crisis responsibly, so I sure don’t feel optimistic about this
