I’m pro-life but in every aspect. Like I want the basic right to life for everyone regardless of age, background, ethnicity, etc. Like anti-d*ath penalty, g*nocide, and abortion. But while also advocating for a better foster and adoption system. We need to fix the systems in place that drive women get abortions in the first place. I don’t think we should kill people because they’re deemed “undesirable” or “unwanted”. I apologize for those who’ve made it a move of power and not compassion. 💔

As far as I can see, abortion laws specifically target ELECTIVE abortions. If a child dies in the womb, it can be removed without violating abortion laws, because it is not considered an abortion for that procedure. There may have been some case in the past where there was an exception to this, but having a dead baby removed after a MISCARRIAGE is not the same as an ELELCTIVE abortion. Elective abortion should be outlawed. Nobody said anything about miscarriages being outlawed.

I just find it funny how many ‘choices’ she’s skipped with her body until it’s time to kill.

nah woman who babies would not make it to term have had to carry that baby because of abortion laws and then in doing so made it so they are no longer able to get pregnant banning them just takes away SAFE abortions it doesn’t stop abortions from happening

Half of people who had abortions have had 2 or more. So many accidents and bad choices. If it was a DUI that killed someone, maybe you would care.

There’s a very significant difference between an abortion and someone being killed by a drunk driver. I see what you’re trying to get at, one bad choice then someone dies. But in the case of an abortion, it’s a lifesaving procedure for a lot of women. A DUI is someone being reckless and ending the life of someone who has relationships, memories, a life. Regardless of the logistics of each, it should ultimately be up to the individual. If you’re a woman and anti abortion, don’t get one.

See, you’re now getting into the argument that some people’s lives while others or not. In Iceland, 99.8% babies with Down syndrome are aborted. When a baby is diagnosed with a medical condition in the womb, they are aborted 90% of the time. Are they not valuable? Would you claim that disabled people who are alive today shouldn’t have the right to their life?

I 100% agree with a woman’s body, her choice. But when you engage in the act the biologically exists for procreation, you take the risk of procreation no matter what, even if protection is used. It should be your body your choice, but not at the cost of someone else’s. Everyone’s life is equally valuable. I don’t know why it’s such a hot take to not want to kill babies?

You’re ignoring the vast majority of abortions (88%) being about convenience and not a lifesaving procedure. If a mother’s life is in danger then I would understand that difficult decision.

I think it’s important to note that, while I do agree with whoever said the foster care and adoption system needs a lot of improvement, it’s currently not great. All that taking the choice away does is force those kids to suffer growing up either in a home with parents not ready/equipped to raise a child, or suffer growing up in our really shitty foster care system. Now I’m not a parent myself, but if I were I wouldn’t want to condemn a child to that. It’s not like people want to get abortions,

It can be incredibly traumatizing. It’s more so that they’re doing it because they deem it necessary. And I believe that any person has a right to make their own choice on the matter

I read stats from several sources, from both sides so they’re not skewed. Anyone can look up real numbers. Also, people do want abortions. They don’t want to be pregnant. I would like more attention on preventing that first.

Following up on this, anyone has the choice for their body, that choice was to have sex, the blessing from that (or consequence) is procreation, or having a baby. By having sex a woman chooses to take the risk that she may get pregnant, if she’s not ready for that, don’t have sex

Saying that abortions should be legal because they’re going to happen anyways is like saying we should make murder and robbery legal because they too happen anyways. It’s illegal because it’s wrong. Murder is wrong. What’s the safest way to not die from an abortion? To not have one.

Women…. Dying… that’s not the cases we’re referring to. Also, to counter this, the choice of the mother’s life or the child’s life is a less than .1% of cases occurance. That’s 1/1000 just to let you understand better. Those cases are also treated DIFFERENTLY. When we say “no more abortion”, those cases are not the subject matter. Because those are traumatic situations that occur during a pregnancy. They are not “I was irresponsible and don’t want to have this child”. Holy Airball Batman
