God forbid a girl does her hair. Literally hate my roommates in this sublet. They told me my female cousins from out of town can’t stay over bc visiting hours is 10 AM - 10 PM and that my bf can’t visit at all 😭 btw these are THEIR rules not the building

Did they not share the house rules before you moved in? I’d be like I pay rent and just because you don’t have a bf doesn’t mean mine can’t visit

tell them to get a box fan for white noice. you don’t expect everyone else to be silent when you have roommates, you accommodate yourself

Yeah no I don’t let random roommates borrow stuff like that bc say they leave it dirty or they break it. Just get one and return it after using it a few Times. Normally roommates just give a heads up that a bf is coming over or that a friend is stopping by. It is weird they said no to that. I would’ve brought the bf over anyway when they’re not around and snuck him out or something

I feel like because I’m much younger than them, I’m 21 and they’re in their mid-late twenties, that they can just boss me around 😭 I asked to use a baking dish and she told me to go buy my own. I’m only here for the summer, where are I supposed to put it when I leave??? And I’ll obviously wash it! And get this, I couldn’t find any oven mitts, so I don’t even think she uses that baking dish 😭

Nope I figured I would give them a heads up about my cousins wanting to visit/stay over for a weekend and that’s when they told me they wouldn’t allow it. I understand them not wanting my bf to stay over, but my female cousins??

yeah if you didn’t agree on any of this before moving in i would ignore them and not tell them about any future guests. you pay rent and they have no authority

I wash everything lol there was even a dish I borrowed that I had to scrub clean before using it, and they had the audacity to tell me to make sure it’s thoroughly cleaned. But yeah I completely understand not wanting a grown ass man you don’t know sleeping in the apt but saying he can’t come in at all??? What the fuck 😭
