Abortion should be legal nationwide for the 3 months after a pregnancy. After that you should have acted sooner or used a condom or birth control. Abortion rights are human rights.

Abortion is the woman’s choice. It should be an option available for mothers that need it. When someone has a late stage abortion it is over 99% of the time medically necessary, where the unthinkable has happened and the baby didn’t make it. Woman’s bodies aren’t a debate topic. Abortion is just basic healthcare

Dems should’ve listened to RBG back when roe v wade was originally being debated. But nooooo they fucked it for everyone instead because they rushed it.

You’re pro birth. Not pro life. Your party cut pediatric cancer research, meals on wheels, and wants to end school lunches, on top of protecting a pedophile billionaire elite who run the country. You couldn’t give a fuck less of a child is born into poverty or is given up for adoption.

Your party also is responsible for protecting child marriage in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia. You people couldn’t give a fuck less about children. It’s about control and about your cult like religious behavior that doesn’t even hold the values that you claim to have!

That progressive members of the party opposed. I don’t see this opposition in the Republican Party especially now more than ever. When the democrats do take over again people are going to need to learn how to tell the corporate democrats and the establishment democrats from real progressives. What the US needs is actual progressive leadership. Not another Obama or another Clinton or another Biden. We need another FDR.

I was actually just having this discussion with someone the other day…FDR was great for his time. He was a tremendous leader for his time. But not for an evergreen leader. many of his policies were not meant to be in effect for as long as they have. There’s even been studies done by UCLA professors that concluded he actually extended the depression by 7 years due to his policies. Maybe we need another FDR but we must be wary on how long certain policies are left in place, now and in the future

Hopefully these new age, younger, progressives can also install term/age limits and we can move away from career politicians because tbh that’s where the corporate elite and media take hold

The Heritage Foundations support of term limits makes me uneasy because as we’ve seen their entire agenda is downright sinister. What seems like something I would agree with has me questioning WHY that particular organization is pushing for it to. Age limits I think is fair but term limits… idk it feels like there’s a reason they are behind it. And not a good one

The only Republican I could “trust” rn is Massie. Dems I was gonna vote for Marianne Williamson this past year but after they installed Kamala I wasn’t a big fan. James Talarico, Andy Beshear, Ro Khanna and tbh Andrew Yang are my top choices on the dem side. They won’t be the nominees because I really feel like the party has lost the plot recently tho

Graham Cunningham Platner is an American oyster farmer, harbormaster, and military veteran who is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for US Senate in Maine, aiming to unseat incumbent Republican senator Susan Collins. He’s been really sticking it to the Republicans and their unconstitutional decisions and illegal acts or lack of accountability for the illegal acts of Trump and his administration. He also is a blue collar working class guy which I love seeing in the Dems.

No woman wants to be in a position where she needs an abortion, even if they just don’t want to be pregnant. It sucks for everybody. It’s not a fun thing, it messes with a woman’s entire body and is painful. But sometimes it is necessary.

A 3 month old fetus looks nearly identical to other mammals at 3 months old. Abortion rights are human rights forced motherhood only leads to more poverty and more displaced children. No self respecting person is going to abort a child after the 3 month period. That’s when the actual fetus stops being a fetus and is turning into a human child.

Also your own party protects child marriage, is protecting pedophile elite, and cut funding for pediatric cancer research, meals on wheels, and wants to get rid of free school lunches. You have absolutely NO moral ground to stand on. You people are distributingly concerned with birth. Not life after. You’re pro birth not pro life.

It is formed from human DNA, and from the moment of conception is made of 100% human DNA. At that moment the new baby has all the DNA and information it needs to fully develop over the next 20 ish years, the first 9 months in the womb. Just cuz it looks like a baby animal at a certain point of development does not make it that animal

Believe me I’m definitely not republican. The whole party is messed up and just needs to be thrown out altogether and replaced with a different party. I support funding all of those things and I’m definitely for justice (Trump was 100% on the island). I’m pro life cuz the pro life movement is to protect life - regardless of what you think the baby, after an abortion life has ended because the cells are dead and no longer developing. And I never said that was a human??

Anonymous replying to -> #8 3d

You wouldn’t know what animal it was from a photo. A fetus is scientifically not a baby, it is a fetus. It cannot think, it does not have autonomy, the person with the fetus growing inside of it should be able to make the decision in that 3 month window of if they want the child or do not want the child. That is a human right. The fetus is not a human the only reason you want the fetus to be born under any circumstances is because you do not believe in personal freedoms.

You live in an idealistic world that all babies being born will be taken care of by their mothers and you could not be more wrong. We as a society should not dictate the choices of what women do with their bodies especially in the choices of keeping or aborting a fetus.

You do not understand the pregnancy cycle there’s a reason the 3 month period was picked. It’s directly after this the actual human baby begins to form.

Unless it’s for medical reasons after the 3 month period the fetus has turned into a human child that will continue to grow for another 6 months. That abortion without significant medical reasoning behind would be considered man slaughter. As such yes the mother should be punished. She had a set time period to make a decision.

Okay then argue for your point without saying things like “any decent person would have done it sooner” because that’s bullshit so many women have irregular periods from their body type and can potentially not even know they are pregnant so maybe you do not understand the female body!

I didn’t say that anywhere in anything I said. I understand there are rare cases in which someone does not know they are pregnant. A cryptic pregnancy in those cases someone’s medical records should be checked. If that really is the case in that 1 and 475 situation then giving someone a month to choose what to do seems more than reasonable. Be more responsible as an adult. There’s consequences for not doing so.

You’re an idiot we agree on the same thing I just think there should be limits and punishments for aborting a child late into pregnancy after knowing about a pregnancy. Irresponsible adults have consequences for their irresponsibility.
