My parents are the same way. They claim the understand how difficult it is, they know in submitting 5-10 applications a day. They KNOW this. And yet still constantly give me back handed comments that I’m a failure bc I’m still unemployed, that it’s completely my fault, and despite being a perfect candidate in every way still not be hired, there’s no systemic flaw. It’s just me

Yea older people don’t know what they’re talking about tbh. A majority of them have no idea what it’s like getting a job as a new grad nowadays and they will never understand
