Older folks like spending time with younger folks because they’re easily influenced. It’s not a good thing. Your easy to manipulate is what I’m saying. Please keep trying to make friends your own age. It shouldn’t feel like work but it shouldn’t be easy breezy either. If someone much older makes you feel like it’s just so easy to be their friend it’s usually for a reason.

Don’t take it personal, been working at this place for two years and only recently have gone out with a couple coworkers. Also I wanna state that I used to be a very very anxious person who didn’t know how to make friends. I started doing things that were consistent and starting conversations myself. You can’t wait for everyone to talk to you sometimes you gotta be the one reaching out
