This happened to me, but I was the dude. We really obviously were into eachother but talked about not wanting to ruin the friendship. Boy oh boy, biggest mistake of my life. Your friendship won’t last. I’m sorry, but it won’t. When he gets a gf 5 years from now, you won’t be best friends anymore. You’ll just be friends that see eachother sometimes. Take the risk or regret it for the rest of your life. Your choice.

bruh he already knows, we've been best friends for three years. it took me a bit to realize that it doesn't matter if it ends up romantic or not. i don't care nearly as much as i used to. what matters most to me is the fact that he's here, and we get to spend time together

That’s kind of what I’m saying. With my friend, there were always jealousy issues when either of us were in relationships. When she finally found someone she knew she wanted to settle down with, he wasn’t as okay with our close friendship. You won’t be as close as you are now forever. I’m sure you know this
