Unpopular opinion: people talk about punching Nazis but no one wants to talk about amending the constitution to ban hate speech and hate groups that we don’t have to use vigilantism to address the dangers of bigotry.

Germany banned hate speech after World War II. And it hasn’t led to dictatorship again. Many counties have hate speech laws and are not dictators.

Then most of western Europe and Australia right now are run by dictators. Holocaust denial and hate speech is rightly banned there
