I caught someone attempting to break into my apartment while I was alone last night. I feel so paranoid yet at the same time I feel like I'm overreacting. They guy never got in. He ran the moment I made a sound at the door. Yet I still feel so scared

It’s understandable you feel scared considering what could have happened! Now’s a good time to buy a portable door lock and stopper. Be sure to notify your landlord and look over footage!

Unfortunately there's no cameras here. My roommate and I did buy a security bar for the door though, and we're looking at doorbell cameras right now.

Great ideas! Burglars look for the room/house with the easiest access. They want to be in and out with no complications. Even if you have a fake security camera and your neighbor doesn’t, you won’t be targeted again.
