If it’s like a lot where it’s parasocial and you start like crying over something that happens in a celebrity’s life it’s concerning because they don’t know you and it shows a lack of priorities and it feels like sometimes they care more about the celeb then friends in your life, it’s like when people drop friends over not being into the same music artist
But like, why? 😭 It’s not like the person is going to leave you for their celebrity crush. The celebrity doesn’t even know they exist. It’s just a fan thing. I get it if someone is so parasocial that they genuinely think they’re in a relationship with the celebrity or if they’re constantly stalking them, but if it’s just a normal celebrity crush, I don’t see why that would be weird.
To me, that sounds like an insecurity thing. I don’t know, personally, if the guy I was dating had a crush on someone like Megan fox, I wouldn’t really care that much because people are human, and they can’t help who they find attractive. As long as they aren’t making that attraction their whole personality or constantly bringing up their celebrity crush while they’re in a relationship with you, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. But that’s just how I feel about it! Everyone is different tho
I agree everyone’s different. It’s not an insecurity thing for me though, it’s because I don’t allow myself to see anyone in a sexual way besides my bf. I don’t feel attracted to anyone besides him, and if a thought like that crosses my mind I ignore it. I expect the same from him. A celebrity crush would mean acknowledging and thinking about his attraction, which I don’t find acceptable in a relationship
