Not to scare you but my mother had stage 2 thyroid cancer (causing extreme hypothyroidism, basically had none) and still had completely normal thyroid work up the entire time. It was only caught bc of a neck ultrasound checking for arterial buildup found the tumors. Just advocate for yourself if you know something ain’t right

I have a very strong chance of having it, every woman in my family on my mom’s side has it. I’m just hoping it doesn’t onset this early. But there’s like almost 100% chance due to my genetics I will have it. It’s just a question of when it pops up.

Yeah I’m in the exact same boat fam (grandma and both aunts had to have half their thyroids removed. Mom obviously had to have entire thyroid removed. Just waiting on my when lol)

Yeah, I’ve started having odd eating issues and migraines so I figured it was time for myself but I do recommend finding a primary just to make sure you’re good

It’s scary, but I’ve been told as long as they catch it at a good time and you make sure to stay on top of the meds it’s ok. Unfortunately some of the side effects of the meds sound miserable, but better than dying

Yeah it’s highly treatable now adays. Medical science is pretty spiffy
