Oh absolutely, I’m an older sibling and it can be hard for me to not try to fix everything in my siblings lives. So I tell them I’m always here if they need something instead.

it’s also hard for you guys to turn off the mom mode, part of a relationship is having someone fend for themselves, if you constantly try to fix stuff with them then they’ll lose the ability to do it themselves and you go from gf/wife to caretaker/mom

I hear you and I agree. Listening to understand verses listening to respond is good communication. I love cooking and making my man feel taken care of, that is my love language. However if he isn’t asking how he can help or if there is a task needing to be done and I’ve been working late and haven’t been able to keep up with it. I want my man to be able to handle adult tasks without me having to take over.

I mean, if there is something to do then that should be logical to go and do it but me personally I was with a clean freak that would literally clean grout from the floor with a toothbrush, it wasn’t dirty, so if it’s something like that, then I need to be told because to me it does not look dirty but everything else have it be laundry or dinner or even make the bed or make sure that the couch looks nice is all logical things that someone should do

Yikes, sorry that was your experience. You’d think that would be logical to do but even in my experience I have been told “You didn’t tell me to do the dishes”.

it’s literally as easy as moving it from the sink washing the stuff that is off of it and putting it in the dishwasher, it is not a hard task

Hahha no! I hear you. No I mean, basic things that should be logical but men have relied on the woman they are with to have completed. My own past experiences and experiences of friends I have. The only thing I did wrong was let it go on for far too long and now I zero patience of weaponized incompetence.

a catfish posts one off pictures, if you look through the profile you can see that it’s all the same person in multiple different pictures and if you wanted to take it a step further, you could try to reverse image search it and you would still find absolutely fucking nothing
