everyone has told me i could do better, but i love my job, never wanted to be a doctor or anything, im a nurse in an ED and i wouldn’t trade it for the world, i love the work i do and i am very passionate about it and the wellbeing of society in general, and people kinda look at you funny for saying that you’re a nurse as a dude ig

That’s so stupid, nursing is an incredibly respected career. And the role is fundamentally different than a doctor or any other role in healthcare - you want to be a nurse and that’s why you’re doing. The people you’ve dated sound very closed minded. Especially an ED nurse ya’ll do very difficult and important work and you deserve every bit of respect and appreciation for it. I hope you find someone who gives you that.
