Not to be an asshole but it’s systemic, not systematic. But otherwise you’re entirely correct. And some point people were trying to change the definition of racism to “prejudice + power” and like…no. That WOULD be systemic racism. It’s like they were trying to erase their own ability to be racist just bc they don’t benefit from the system.

Correct. I don’t know why it’s hard. I always hear arguments like, yeah, Black/Asian/Hispanic, etc., people can also be racist. Yes, (and it’s wrong) but they have never really been in a position to persecute other races in mass either historically or today. Not sure why people don’t understand this.

kinda just deranged to look at the history of slavery in the US + its ongoing irreparable intergenerational consequences such as measurable wealth inequality and worsened health outcomes + disproportionate rates of incarceration + a clear pattern of state-sanctioned murders at the hands of cops, then look at “white people don’t season their food” jokes, and be like “yup, it makes sense to use the same word for these two experiences”
