I told my guy friend I don’t like anyone and I’m not ready to be in a relationship for a long time after just breaking up with my ex. Next day he immediately asks me out and says the whole reason he’s been friends with me is cause he’s been waiting.

Hi OP, I am a guy and a virgin by choice. Overtime all my guy friends vanished due to bro culture and just have female friends. People have a choice and can shop around. I’ll ask some of my female friends but they have a choice. When the sole motivation is to be with them, that isn’t a healthy expectation when that person can choose no but one thinks it’ll be yes. Trust is low among people and why it is hard to make a choice at all when anyone can be toxic when not knowing their history.

Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t have been upset if he just liked me but the only reason he was friends with me was because of it, two he confessed the literal day after me and my ex broke up and keep and mind me and my ex where together for six years. The problem was he expected me to say yes to being with him an was confused why I wasn’t interested. I’m sorry about your guy friends though! That really sucks I hope you can find some at some point
