Agree but also being on social media in general is performative. I haven’t been on it for a year and everytime I hear a boycott I’m thinking why tf do you guys even buy it in the first place

Not gonna fault someone for their personal choices if it helps them feel a little better. The issue is when they act like doing that is curing cancer and that anyone who doesn’t do the same supports kicking puppies… while they continue to support other people/businesses that also do messed up things behind closed doors.

I just try to be as frugal as possible with absolutely everything because I just hate capitalism and every brand has done at least something wrong

agreed— like you cannot ask me to boycott both pepsi AND coca-cola… the alternatives are not nearly as good 😭

i think channeling this energy into gaining community over the shared idea that there is no ethical consumption under capitalism + it is us vs the wealthy and building something together to do what we need to do to change that is better than insulting a situation that has a lot of nuance to it
