Part of the issue though is that our legal system is supposed to already be operating on the “beyond a reasonable doubt” basis but we still get wrongful convictions frequently

dear lord i was more thinking in my life when i’ve heard a friend tell me they’ve been assaulted i think to myself we should go after them with rocks not that everyone accused should be publicly pursued

Yeah that’s why I think a higher evidentiary basis would help fix a lot of that. That way if there is a clear standard of proof like admission or a verified video then the highest punitive measure can be taken

tbf rape already rarely goes to court, a murder might be worse for the perpetrator since the victim might actually get taken seriously by police 💀

Crazy you think most men are actually capable of basic empathy and know right from wrong. I used to think like you. I was proven wrong multiple times over. I’m a deviant, I live a highly sexual life. But it absolutely fucking disgusts me how many people I’ve met and been told the horror stories they suffered. What’s amazing is things like this don’t happen in the lifestyle I have because we actually greatly respect one another and would never do anything to endanger that level of trust.
