to my understanding, it means you’re not hardcore straight and sometimes find yourself attracted to the same gender. however it’s rare/fleeting/minor enough that you’re still “effectively” straight since you likely will never date the same gender. also, it’s not bi erasure at all lmao. it’s dumb as hell to say that it is because if heteroflexible wasn’t a label then those people would just say they’re straight.

Actually that describes me pretty well. I usually identify as Demi around queer people because they tend to know what that means but otherwise I say I’m “functionally straight” because while I think women are cool I haven’t met one I feel attracted enough to to want to have sex with her.
