every time i would have sex with my ex, he would tell me in detail how he wished he could tie me up, drug me & let me get fucked by a dog every single time. every single time we had sex. the same story, line by line like he rehearsed it. every time.

Every time implies you let this happen multiple times. Why?

My ex would say he had a fantasy of tying me up and using my body however he pleases including using the bathroom on me then leaving me for days not caring if I was hungry or tired or had to use the bathroom

i was young and dumb when this happened a few years ago. i was very easily manipulated and had no standards, ontop of him being abusive

This is not to be mean or against you but when women allow certain bad behaviors to happen repeatedly before leaving it reinforces to the assailant that it is ok. I think lots of women will allow bad behaviors and then will get with bad men and then reflect it on all men as if their choices are not also partially in effect… “men are insane” before you disagree too adamantly

theres a psychological behavior known as "fawning". i suggest you look into it. ik you dont have much info to go off of, but i DID call out his bad behavior .. and it didn't go well for me to say the least. i did what i had to do until it was safe for me to leave the relationship

I think a lot of people will let themselves off the hook with these complex psychological problems when in reality they just failed themselves. Obv I don’t know you and I don’t know if that’s true, but I have childhood trauma like been to therapy CPS the nine yards and it just seems like people will champion some vague disorder to guise their own misdoings. And it seems like that is the case specifically because the “safe to leave…” implies that you either lived with them or other or lying.
